A terrific idea for all of those CD's that are obsolete, is: String them on a 20 inch piece of acrylic yarn or twine, and hang them on various branches of your fruit trees. They are the perfect Critter Friendly scare-crow that flutters in the breeze and keeps those hungry birds away from the ripening fruit.
We also leave the top branches for the birds to feast on.
For two years now, we have had a bountiful crop of cherries.
