I have been asked by many, "Why have you named your Web Site; "Old Souls Station". What does it mean?" Well my friend it means, the journey that I travel while visible here on earth, at this point in time, is the "Old Souls Station". I, like every being in existence, am on a never ending journey. To be a friend, to be of help, if only to bring a smile. To remind us, that all is temporary. A transition from one thought and action, to another. A continuum, of receiving and giving the best or worst of ourselves in any given situation. This life that you now are expressing, is not the bigger picture. It is but your contributing portion to the greater wholeness we perceive, while living life as a Human being. We are one! You, while sitting there reading these words, and I, sitting here typing. We are communicating this truth; "We are alike." We are made of the same stuff. Mind, body, and spirit. Moving through time, trying to figure out how to make matters better than they seem. But ah, there's the rub. We can only control our reaction in any given experience, and not it's expression. So what is one to do? I have found, that a well developed sense of humor will lend you a greater capacity to see through the nonsense that abounds everywhere. Oddly, humor lends to wisdom, and wisdom saves the day. Where wisdom is present, humor abounds. Humor clarifies a situation and makes it palatable. It is a marvelous safety net for situations in which you have no control. It often saves the small fragments of sanity one finds while traversing chaos. When one can look back, smile, shake their head, and marvel how you came through it, is the first sign that you have gained Wisdom. You have come through the "Old Souls Station" while on your way to somewhere, and someone else. You have taken and shared the many gifts of humor found here. Your light is larger than when you arrived. You leave refreshed, to continue on your experience, through your own 'Old Souls Station'. Personally, I enjoy your comments, via e-mail or the guest book. I feel good when I know that someone has beat the doldrums with a good laugh, or regained old wisdoms that needed dusting off. One day, I too will pass through my "Old Souls Station", to continue on to another destination. But, in the meantime, we can share the moments that brought us to our well earned wisdom, with good humor and a mutual understanding, that life is fleeting, ridiculous, and funny. Sounds like the perfect definition of a Human Being, doesn't it? Upward and Onward, my friend and fellow. (The poem below "DROP A PEBBLE", sums it up, nicely.) With warmest
