I'm Your Lady
- A Horse Story -

As you hurry through life
With so much to do
Remember I'm standing here
Waiting for you.

I hear your car
The creak of the gate
I rush to the barn door
Because I can't wait.

Please brush me and pet me
Then give me my hay
And rub 'tween my ears
In our special way.

Remember last summer
We had the best score
They gave you ribbons
But I gave you more.

When you make mistakes
I carry you through
You think nothing of it
My job that I do.

When you went home and told 'em
Your friends were impressed
As you sat there and bragged
That you'd been the best.

Now winter is coming
And with it the snow
You've people to see
And places to go.

While I stand here waiting
With nothing to do,
Just give me an hour
My life I give you.
