When I woke up this morning, God was sitting on my bed
He laughed at my surprise, And said "Good morning sleepy head,
I have a gift for you today, One wish for you to make
Be it anything in this World of ours, It is all for you to take."
I sat awhile just wondering, What thing did I need most?
Do I need riches galore?
Do I need a house or car?
Do I need more food than I can eat, Or to travel afar?
I have a roof, the bills are paid, There is enough to eat
What can I ask for from My Lord, That would make my life complete.
Then the answer came to be, Like lightning from above
"My Lord", I whispered to Him, "All I need is love.
I want someone to share my life. To make me laugh when I am sad.
Someone to hold me as I sleep, To help turn Good from bad.
Someone that will love me, That will see inside my heart
Someone that will miss me dearly, When we must be apart
Someone to grow old with, To share life's joys and sorrows
Someone who will stay with me, Through all of life's tomorrows
They do not need to be perfect Lord, Just kind and loving and true."
Then God just said, "So be it!" Then He sent me You!!!!
